Hydroponics is the growing plants in doctored nutrient solution under controlled environment condition. The special polyhouse or hi –tech poly house support water work which is termed as hydroponics .The plants are grown without the use of soil and most of the time with artificial lights. Plants are feed through doctored water nutrients that simulating the normal environment conditions. Hydroponics is fast, becoming a popular choice for many grower all over the world ,due to its more sustainable approach to resource usage, than the usual growing methods.

1. N.F.T (Nutrient Film Technology)

usually its is channel based technology, in which, the thin film of nutrient solution is run through 6mm inlet pipe throughout the system. There is no substrate used except for air what helps to keep it check.

2. Ebb & flow:

Rail mechanism of reversal of Doctored nutrient solution in same reservoir. The plants for germination at nursery stage production of leafy crops with 0% mortality. Nutrient solution is delivered to the roots in the substrate (Haydite, pearl stone, gravel, coir etc)and then it flows over into the tank (The disadvantage is hidden on the energy storage and the pump break down.

3. Drip type System:

Drip hydroponics can be set up for almost any type of plant are grown. Important is that some plant are grown as less water requirement is retain water or moister to grow all. Important point of types:
a) Recovery drip type: Overage flow back to the tank and is reuses.
b) The system requires less time for maintenance since the pH level and the nutrient balance remain the same thus making it unnecessary to check it. Notes:
(In hydroponics it is very important to set up the timer correctly .It will maintain a short cycle and switch on the pump for a few second every minute.)

4. Aeroponics:

Aeroponics is the process of growing plants in dirt or mist environment, without the use of soil. Plants have access to oxygen 24/7 they generally will experience faster growth than conventional means.

5. Aquaponics:

Aquaponics is a combination of aquaculture, which is growing fish and other aquatic animals, and hydroponics which is growing plants without soil. Aquaponics uses these two in a symbiotic combination in which plants are fed the aquatic animals discharge or waste.
